1. Executive Summary
February was a pivotal month focused on Player Experience, Platform Expansion, and Core Gameplay Refinement. We made significant strides in improving UI/UX with a "1-click" initiative, expanded our reach by integrating with Xbox services, and enhanced security for our mobile IAP systems. The team successfully shipped numerous builds, resolving critical platform-specific issues and paving the way for future growth.
Key Achievements:
- Releases: Deployed multiple updates (Builds v0.6.26 – v0.6.28 and beyond).
- Platform Expansion: Integrated Microsoft GDK, adding Xbox cloud saves and achievements.
- Player Engagement: Launched a new "Stat Booster" reroll system and added daily free rewards to drive retention.
- Security: Implemented XOR cipher encoding for mobile save files to protect IAP data.
- UI/UX Overhaul: Streamlined user interactions with a "1-click" initiative across major game interfaces.
2. Monetization & Engagement
- New Features: Successfully implemented the "Stat Booster" system, allowing players to reroll stats using fertilizer. This adds a new layer of player progression and a valuable currency sink.
- Retention Mechanics: Added a daily free fertilizer reward system to encourage regular engagement.
- Security: To protect revenue and ensure fair play, mobile save files on iOS and Android are now encoded, preventing casual editing of IAP-related data. A migration path for existing save files is in place.
3. Gameplay & Content
- Combat Polish: Overhauled and added special effects for numerous characters (PC001-PC018). Balanced key weapons, including a significant buff to the Hammer's attack range.
- Mode-Specific Tuning: Balanced parameters for both Endless Mode and the new Ranked pre-sets to create a more compelling challenge.
- API & Leaderboards: The backend was updated to support more detailed leaderboard data, including fetching personal bests for players, enhancing the competitive experience.
4. Platform & Infrastructure
- Xbox Integration: The game now integrates with Microsoft's GDK, enabling Xbox cloud saves and achievements. This is a major step toward a future console release.
- Build Stability: Resolved critical, platform-specific build errors for iOS, Android, and macOS, ensuring a more reliable deployment pipeline.
- Offline Support: Fixed a critical bug causing data loss for the offline ranking system, ensuring player progress is always saved.
5. User Experience (UX) & Quality of Life
- "1-Click" Initiative: Major UI components were streamlined to require only a single click, including chamber nodes, stat booster cards, and prophet cards, significantly improving game flow.
- Shop & UI Overhaul: Unified the various game shops into a single, tabbed interface. Created new UIs for "New Record" and "Game Progress" to provide clearer feedback to the player.
- Localization: Applied extensive localization updates across the game, especially in the shop, ranked mode, and settings menus to support a global audience.
